How It All Began (1947)
Our marquee journey began back in 1947, just after the Second World War. We were involved with the Derby County Show, helping to erect marquees for the event. Instead of being paid in cash, we accepted the marquees themselves as payment — a decision that unknowingly set us on the path to becoming a marquee hire company.
Those first few marquees marked the start of something special. What began as a practical solution soon grew into a dedicated service, supporting local events and celebrations across the region.
Growing Alongside Derbyshire
Over the years, we’ve steadily expanded, growing our stock and our expertise as demand increased. From those early days, we’ve gone on to supply marquees for county shows, festivals, fairs, corporate events and private celebrations throughout Derbyshire and beyond.
