Following another successful Westmorland County Show, Crocker Bros is incredibly proud to celebrate 40 years of working with the Show, supplying and building marquees for one of the UK's best-known agricultural events.
It comes shortly after we celebrated another remarkable milestone – more than 50 years supplying Moreton Show.
For us, these aren't simply numbers. They represent something that's always been at the heart of Crocker Bros: building relationships with our customers that last.
40 Years Supporting Westmorland County Show
Westmorland County Show itself has an extraordinary heritage.
The Westmorland County Agricultural Society was founded in 1799 and today remains dedicated to supporting and promoting agriculture, horticulture, conservation, forestry, rural crafts and associated industries.
Held at the Westmorland County Showground at Crooklands, near the Lake District, the annual Show attracts tens of thousands of visitors and brings together livestock competitions, rural crafts, local food, trade exhibitors and entertainment.
For approximately four decades of that long history, Crocker Bros has been there too – building the marquees that help bring the Show to life.
Four Decades of Trust
Anyone involved in delivering a major agricultural show knows just how much happens before the gates open.
Behind the scenes, hundreds of exhibitors, contractors, suppliers and organisers have to work together to transform a showground into an event capable of welcoming tens of thousands of people.
Marquees form an important part of that temporary infrastructure.
Structures have to be delivered, positioned and professionally erected within carefully planned schedules – and when you're working on events of this scale, reliability matters.
It's why we're particularly proud that Westmorland County Show has continued to place its trust in Crocker Bros for 40 years.

Our recent celebration of more than 50 years working with Moreton Show gave us an opportunity to look back through the history of Crocker Bros.
Now, another successful Westmorland County Show has reminded us just how unusual some of our customer relationships really are.

These are relationships that have lasted through changing generations, changing equipment and an event industry that looks very different today from the one we first started working in.
We think that says something important about the way we do business.
A Family Business Built for the Long Term
Crocker Bros has always been a family business.
Our own history stretches back to 1947, when Crocker Brothers helped erect marquees for the Derby County Show. Instead of conventional payment, the brothers received the marquees themselves – helping to begin a marquee business that continues today.
Over the decades, the business has passed through generations of the family, including from father to daughter.
Along the way, we've continued to invest in our equipment, develop our expertise and adapt to the changing requirements of the events industry.
But one thing hasn't changed: we want customers to come back.
Not just next year, but year after year.

There's perhaps no better endorsement of a business than customers who continue working with you.
Whether we're providing marquees for a major agricultural show, festival, corporate event or private celebration, we approach every project with the aim of building a long-term relationship.
